Air New Zealand Adjusts Oceanic Ops

This week it has been revealed that Air New Zealand has made some schedule changes to its Oceanic services.

This article will cover the details surrounding the changes that Air New Zealand has made as part of its latest Summer 2023 schedule adjustments.

Air New Zealand Adjusts Oceanic Schedule

As per data from AeroRoutes, Air New Zealand has made some changes to its Oceanic schedule offering for its Summer 2023 operations.

These changes will come into effect between July 1 and October 28, and are as follows –

From the carrier’s home base in Auckland Airport (AKL), they have made the following changes. Their service to Adelaide Airport (ADL) in Australia will be reduced down to four weekly. Their service to Cairns Airport (CNS) in Australia will be reduced to three weekly.

Their service to Melbourne Airport (MEL) in Australia will be reduced to 23 weekly. Their service to Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD) in Australia will be reduced to 29 weekly. Air New Zealand’s service to Nadi International Airport (NAN) in Fiji will be increased to 15 weekly until the end of September and increased in October to 13 weekly.

Their service to Noumea La Tontouta International Airport (NOU) in New Caledonia will be reduced to two weekly. Their service to Nuku’alofa’s Tongatapu Fuaʻamotu International Airport (TBU) in Tonga will be reduced to six weekly from August. Their service to Rarotonga’s Avarua Rarotonga International Airport (RAR) in the Cook Islands will be reduced to 11 weekly.

Also, Air New Zealands service to Niue International Airport (IUE) in Niue will continued to be served on a once-weekly basis being upgraded to the carrier’s Airbus A321neo.

From Christchurch International Airport (CHC), Air New Zealand has made the following changes. Their service to Brisbane Airport (BNE) in Australia will be reduced to eight weekly. Their service to Gold Coast Airport (OOL) in Australia will be reduced to three weekly, only during July, and their service to Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD) in Australia will be reduced to seven weekly from September.

From Wellington International Airport (WLG), Air New Zealand has only made one change which is reducing their service to Brisbane Airport (BNE) in Australia down to seven weekly.
