Air France Unveils Advertising for Paris 2024 Olympic Games

Air France, a proud sponsor of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, unveils a captivating advertising campaign.

This warm welcome extends to all national delegations arriving in France to celebrate these prestigious events.

A Face of France

The campaign features a striking image: a young woman adorned with makeup mirroring the French flag. It is a nod to the allegories of Marianne and the French Republic. The image of this young woman will welcome the world and visitors at every stage of their journey

This powerful symbol, designed by renowned makeup artist Carole Lasnier, embodies the spirit of France and Air France.

The intricate design, taking over four hours to create, evokes a billowing Tricolore flag. Captured by the meticulous eye of photographer Olivier Rose, the image serves as a welcoming face for visitors throughout their journey.

A Global Welcome

From July 26th to August 11th, 2024, the world’s finest athletes will converge on the City of Lights to compete for glory.

This prestigious event promises a thrilling display of athleticism, sportsmanship, and the pursuit of excellence.

Air France is proud to be a part of this momentous occasion, welcoming athletes and spectators alike to experience the magic of the Games and the beauty of France.

This symbol of French hospitality will extend beyond borders. The welcome message from Air France’s 39,000 staff appears in French and English, with additional translations in key languages like Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Italian, and Brazilian Portuguese.

Passengers will encounter this welcoming image at every touchpoint:

  • Upon arrival at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly airports, on giant displays in terminals and lounges.
  • On billboards near competition venues in Paris, Marseille, Lyon, Nantes, and other host cities.
  • This summer, a colossal advertising tarp, exceeding 1,000 square meters, will adorn the main façade of Air France’s headquarters. Located prominently at Charles de Gaulle, it will be visible from roads, terminals, and taxiing aircraft.

Spreading the Spirit

The campaign will also extend beyond physical spaces. It will appear in online publications dedicated to the Olympics and visitor-focused media like “l’Equipe’s” special Olympic Games guide.

Short, engaging social media videos will further amplify the campaign’s reach and capture the excitement surrounding the Games.

Created by Air France’s marketing agency, this new campaign supports the airline’s advertising slogan – “Elegance is a journey. Air France”. It will also be deployed within the company, for staff at the company’s various sites.
