Phoenix Tourism and Business Growth

Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego expressed her excitement, stating, “Adding non-stop service to Paris is a major milestone that demonstrates our commitment to providing convenient and efficient travel options to and from Phoenix.”

She believes that as the city continues to grow, the direct link to Paris will unlock exciting possibilities for exploration and new business opportunities.

During the 2024 summer season, Air France, operating from its Paris-Charles de Gaulle hub, will provide connecting opportunities to over 200 destinations worldwide.

“Phoenicians will also have more convenient options for travel in Europe. No doubt, this new global connection will have a positive impact on our economy,” said Vice Mayor Debra Stark.

Boaz Hulsman, Vice President of Commercial, North America at Air France-KLM, shared his enthusiasm, stating, “This new service symbolizes our commitment to enhancing the transatlantic travel connection.”

Sky Harbor

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, known as “America’s Friendliest Airport®,” already offers a plethora of nonstop services.

The airport has an annual economic impact of more than $38 billion. On an average day, approximately 1,200 aircraft and more than 130,000 passengers arrive at and depart from Sky Harbor every day.

The addition of this new Air France route not only reinforces the city’s global connectivity but also strengthens its economic impact.

The airport’s existing transatlantic services to London Heathrow, Frankfurt, and beyond, coupled with Air France’s codeshare partnership with Delta and association with KLM, create a web of seamless travel options.

Economic Impact and Community Growth

Phoenix international flights already contribute significantly to the local economy, bringing in over $3.4 billion each year, according to the Airport’s most recent economic impact study.

This new three-times-weekly nonstop seasonal service is projected to provide an additional $30 million annual economic impact to the Phoenix community, further solidifying the city’s position as a growing economic hub.
