As per data from Planespotters.net, EI-HPA is the first Airbus A330-900neo of the two to be delivered by AerCap to ITA Airways.

The aircraft seats 30 people in Business, 24 in Premium Economy, as well as 237 in Economy.

As per data from RadarBox, EI-HPA departed Toulouse at ITY8020 on July 13 at 1929 local and arrived in Rome at 2044 local.

At this stage, it is unclear when the second unit from AerCap will be delivered to ITA Airways, as it depends on the slot given by Airbus for this.

For ITA Airways, this is their third Airbus A330neo in the fleet, with another seven on their way in the short term.

EI-HPA joins EI-HJN and EI-HJO, which both seat the same amount of passengers. At current run rates, the airline is receiving one A330neo every month.

Overall, this is strong news for the carrier as the quick deliveries mean they can deploy the aircraft on new and existing routes and offer more capacity moving forward.

As we progress through the Summer, it will be interesting to see how ITA Airways’ summer goes in that respect.
