Aer Lingus Celebrates One Year of Knock-London Flights

Aer Lingus has this week celebrated one year of flights between Ireland West Airport in Knock & London Heathrow.

Such an anniversary represents the continued strength in connection operations beyond Heathrow from the Irish airport.

The Knock-London Flights…

Since March 26, 2023, Aer Lingus has been serving flights between Knock and London Heathrow.

Using their Airbus A320 aircraft, the route is serviced on a daily basis, providing strong tourism and connectivity potential.

It also provides a gateway for 86% of UK-based visitors who head to Ireland for a holiday or see family and friends.

Furthermore, the Knock flights from London Heathrow also join services to Dublin, Cork & Shannon too.

Susanne Carberry, Aer Lingus’ Chief Commercial Officer had this to say on the one year anniversary:

“We are proud to mark this occasion celebrating one year of making the West of Ireland and the world-famous Wild Atlantic Way even easier to explore and navigate, with Aer Lingus’ direct flights from Heathrow to Ireland West Airport Knock.”

“Since commencing, the route has continued to drive inbound tourism and we look forward to flying even more customers this summer as we provide our warm welcome from Aer Lingus.”

The airline is encouraging cheap flights between London and Knock, with flights on offer from £49.99 each way.

In conclusion, this represents a significant milestone for Knock-London flights with Aer Lingus.

Looking ahead, all eyes will be on how the route itself develops further, as well as whether there is scope to expand further.

As we approach the Summer 2024 season, this route will no doubt be popular for that peak period.

But for now, let’s see how the route continues to perform over the next 12-18 months.
