For the new Winter 2023/24 schedule, AEGEAN is offering increased passenger options with 18 new routes to 14 different countries, while expanding it’s global presence in the Middle East, North Africa, the Balkans and Europe.

New destinations such as Dubai, Luxor, Sharm El Sheikh, Innsbruck, Bratislava, Baku & Chisinau are confirmed by the Greek carrier’s efforts towards expansion.

Typically seasonal routes, AEGEAN will continue services to Bristol, Birmingham, Malaga, Bilbao, Tallin, Riga, Tunisia and Barcelona.

On top of this, a second daily flight will be added to Frankfurt from Athens.

Continuing on its premise to provide all-year-round tourism, regular flights to and from Rhodes, Heraklion and Kalamata will continue until November, with this expected to restart again in March 2024.

As mentioned, the reasoning behind this is down to the airline’s increase in passengers compared to last year, which you can see via this table below:

Adding to this was AEGEAN’s Deputy Chief Commercial Officer of Network and Revenue, Mrs. P. Stamatis:

“Building on the momentum of the successful growth of the last 18 months, we continue to offer our passengers new options and travel experiences, investing in the expansion of our network with new destinations in the winter season.”

“At the same time, we continue to invest in the potential of Athens and Thessaloniki Airports, while we gradually develop special programmes and partnerships to mitigate seasonality in the region.”

“Moreover, we announce the new direct flight to and from Athens-Dubai, as well as the second daily flight to Frankfurt Airport from Athens, in order to further strengthen the connectivity of our network with international aviation hubs, under the umbrella of our important new and established partnerships”.

It remains clear that things are going very well for AEGEAN, and moving forward, all eyes will be on them to see how much they can perfect the all-year-round tourism aspect too.
