Türkiye’s national carrier, Turkish Airlines, has just announced (December 15, 2023) that it will expand its fleet with an order for 220 Airbus aircraft.

The latest bulk order is comprised of 150 Airbus’ narrowbody A321s and 70 of the A350 widebody aircraft (50 A350-900s, 15 A350-1000s and 5 A350F freighters).

Turkish Airlines, Türkiye’s national carrier, is set to redefine the regional aviation landscape with the latest landmark order of 220 Airbus aircraft.

Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, sees this order as more than just an expansion; it’s a testament to the airline’s dedication to environmental goals and the evolution of Türkiye’s aviation industry.

“The addition of these advanced Airbus aircraft to our fleet will not only enhance our operational capabilities but also significantly contribute to our environmental goals. This investment is a crucial milestone in the further evolution of Türkiye’s aviation industry,” said Ahmet Bolat.

A321neo: Narrowbody Efficiency


The A321neo, the largest in Airbus’ A320neo Family, is set to revolutionize Turkish Airlines’ short-haul routes.

With new generation engines and Sharklets, it offers a 50% noise reduction, over 20% fuel savings, and CO₂ reduction compared to its predecessors.

Its spacious single-aisle cabin ensures maximum comfort, making it a frontrunner in the aviation industry.

Airbus A350: The Efficient Widebody


The A350, renowned as the world’s most modern and efficient widebody aircraft, leads the 300-410 seater category in long-range capabilities.

Its clean sheet design incorporates cutting-edge technologies, aerodynamics, lightweight materials, and latest-generation engines, providing a remarkable 25% advantage in fuel efficiency, operating costs, and CO₂ emissions.

The A350 is a global citizen, ensuring 50% noise reduction compared to previous generation competitors.

A350 Family Aircraft

With two versions, the A350-900 and the A350-1000, the A350 Family offers an unparalleled passenger experience even on ultra-long-haul flights. Its innovative design delivers spaciousness, featuring wide seats, high ceilings, and ambient lighting.

By November 2023, the A350 Family has secured 1,072 orders from 57 leading customers worldwide, attesting to its undeniable appeal.

A350F: Cargo Operations


Turkish Airlines’ endorsement adds substantial weight to the A350F’s order book, standing at 50 orders from nine customers.

This cargo-focused aircraft features the largest main deck cargo door and advanced materials, ensuring at least a 20% advantage in lower fuel burn and CO₂ emissions over its closest competitor.
