A United Airlines Boeing 777 operating a flight between Washington and Paris suffered a hydraulic leak, resulting in a diversion to Gander.

United Airlines Flight UA915 – Washington to Paris: Gander Diversion…

United Airlines flight UA915, which diverted to Gander, is a routine scheduled flight between Washington Dulles and Paris CDG.

Furthermore, the aircraft involved in the incident is registered as N794UA.

As per data from Planespotters.net, N794UA is a 26.6 year old Boeing 777-200ER that was delivered to the airline in October 1997.

Of the 777-200ER variant, United Airlines has 74 of them in the fleet.

Furthermore, of the 74, all but four are in active service, with an average fleet age of 25.1 years.

United Airlines flight UA915 departed Washington Dulles at 1823 local time on June 9 and tracked initially to Paris CDG.

After passing through the Atlantic Crossing, the aircraft made a u-turn and proceeded to divert to Gander.

After around five hours and 10 minutes in the air, UA915 landed safely into Gander.

Furthermore, as per The Aviation Herald, it is understood the cause was a hydraulic leak.

Moreover, following the incident involving United Airlines flight UA915 Washington-Paris, the Boeing 777 was grounded in Gander for nearly two days.

Data from RadarBox shows that N794UA positioned back to Washington Dulles at 0825 local time.

By 1730 local time, the aircraft was back in the air operating the UA915 sector again.

The aircraft is currently in the air at the time of writing operating the UA984 sector from Paris to San Francisco.

Overall, the issue appears to be fixed and the aircraft is back in working order.
