All Nippon Airways flight NH372 from Nagasaki made an emergency landing in Nagoya on June 22.

Information has been released pertinent to this incident, which we will get into in this article.

All Nippon Airways flight NH372, involved in the emergency landing, is a routine scheduled flight between Nagasaki and Nagoya.

Moreover, the aircraft involved in the incident is registered as JA88AN.

As per data from Planespotters.net, JA88AN is a 5.8 year old Boeing 737-800 that was delivered to the airline in September 2018.

Of the 737-800 variant, All Nippon Airways has 39 of them in their fleet.

Furthermore, of that 39, all but two are in active service, with an average fleet age of 11.5 years.

As well as that aircraft type, the mainline subsidiary to the airline has the following aircraft in the fleet:

  • 11 Airbus A320neos.
  • Four Airbus A321ceos.
  • 22 Airbus A321neos.
  • 3 Airbus A380s.
  • 24 Boeing 767s.
  • 30 Boeing 777 Family aircraft.
  • 84 Boeing 787 Family aircraft.
  • 24 De Havilland Dash 8s.

All Nippon Airways flight NH372 departed Nagasaki at 0935 local time on June 22 and climbed out to Nagoya.

Furthermore, as per The Aviation Herald, the incident occurred during it’s descent into it’s destination.

During it’s descent, the aircraft loss cabin pressure, which prompted an emergency descent.

All Nippon Airways flight NH372 from Nagasaki made an emergency landing into Nagoya, landing safely at 1100 local time.

Furthermore, it is understood passengers were affected by this loss in cabin pressure.

It is understood that seven passengers and four cabin crew complained of ear pain and hearing difficulties.

Aircraft Still Grounded…

Also, data from RadarBox.com shows that JA88AN, the All Nippon Airways Boeing 737-800 operating the NH372 Nagasaki-Nagoya flight is still grounded at the time of writing (26/6/24 @ 1750 UK time).

At this stage, it is unclear when the aircraft will be able to operate commercial flights.

This is due to maintenance teams needing to fix what caused the cabin depressurisation in the first place.

It is understood that this incident is under investigation by the JTSB, with the Ministry of Transport marking this as a serious incident.

Looking ahead, all eyes will be on what the results of that report will show.
