Qantas customers travelling through Adelaide are set to receive an upgrade to their airport experience with construction of a new lounge precinct set to commence this month.

The major redevelopment plan will see the launch of a brand-new Domestic Business Lounge. A full refurbishment of the current Qantas Club and Chairmans Lounge will also be carried out.

Qantas Adelaide Lounge Precinct

A brand-new Qantas lounge precinct is on the horizon, offering a significant upgrade to passenger travelling through Adelaide. Construction is now set to begin this month and will encompass a variety of enhancements.

The centerpiece of the project is the introduction of a brand-new Domestic Business Lounge.

Drawing inspiration from the breathtaking beauty of Kangaroo Island’s Flinders Chase National Park, this lounge promises a truly unique and immersive experience.

Additionally, the existing Qantas Club and Chairman’s Lounge will undergo a complete refurbishment, ensuring a fresh and modern feel throughout the entire precinct.

South Australian Ambience

While the overall footprint of the lounge space won’t change, clever redesigning of underutilized areas will result in a welcome increase of over 10% in seating capacity.

Stepping inside, you’ll be greeted by an ambience that celebrates the very essence of South Australia.

Natural materials, locally sourced furniture and lighting, and curated artwork by First Nations artists will all come together to create a space that reflects the state’s stunning landscapes, rich culture, and iconic flavors.

This redevelopment is part of the airline’s ongoing commitment to provide passengers with a world-class travel experience. Qantas is pouring $100 million into upgrading and enhancing their global lounge network.

“The Adelaide Lounge Precinct upgrade reflects the specific needs of our Adelaide flyers,” says Phil Capps, Qantas Executive Manager for Product and Service.

“We’re incorporating excellence in South Australian design throughout the project. From the furnishings and artwork to the premium food and beverage offerings. We want every aspect of the lounge to give our customers a true taste of South Australia.”

Improved Functionality and Facilities

Capps further highlights the focus on functionality. “We’ve listened to customer feedback and are installing additional seating throughout the precinct to provide more dedicated workspace.”

“Additionally, around 80% of seats will have access to power stations and device ports. This will ensureyou can stay charged and connected before your flight.”

There’s no need to worry about disruptions during construction. Throughout the entire process, the existing Qantas Club will remain operational. It will cater to eligible customers one hour before the first Qantas-operated service and continuing until the last departure.

To guarantee a hassle-free experience during peak hours, the lounge will be offering a special “Grab and Go” service. This will provide premium breakfast options and barista-made coffee, which will be available if the lounges reach capacity.

This exciting redevelopment promises to elevate the travel experience for Qantas passengers flying through Adelaide Airport.

With a focus on comfort, functionality, and a celebration of South Australia’s unique identity, the new lounge precinct is sure to impress.
