Jewel Changi Airport: 5th Anniversary Amid Robust Recovery

Jewel Changi Airport (Jewel) takes flight into its fifth year, boasting a strong recovery in travel and a surge in visitor numbers.

Mirroring the growth of Changi Airport’s passenger traffic, Jewel witnessed a remarkable 26% increase in footfall for the 2023/24 financial year compared to the previous one. Overall sales also climbed by a healthy 20%.

International travelers accounted for a significant 30% of the total footfall, with tourists from China, Malaysia, Taiwan, the United States, and Indonesia topping the visitor charts.

The captivating attractions within the sprawling 14,000sqm Canopy Park also enjoyed increased popularity, with a 12% rise in visitor numbers and a noteworthy 35% jump in sales.

Standing out as the sole mall in Singapore to offer double loyalty points per transaction, Jewel’s “Double Rewards” program saw its membership base expand by over 10%.

A Year of Celebrations: What A Feelin5

To commemorate its fifth anniversary, Jewel unveils a year-long calendar bursting with special events. Enticing retail offers, and never-before-seen experiences, all united under the celebratory theme “What A Feelin5.”

This theme aims to evoke a range of positive emotions within visitors, reflecting the diverse experiences Jewel has to offer.

Fong continues with exciting announcements, including the opening of new flagship stores. This will see the arrival of brands never before seen in the market.

Additionally, visitors can now embark on a behind-the-scenes tour of the iconic Jewel Rain Vortex.

Throughout the year, Jewel will introduce a variety of new experiences, enthralling events, and exclusive offers.

A Dazzling Light & Music Showcase

Jewel’s mesmerizing Light & Music show has become a signature attraction, captivating visitors with its awe-inspiring displays.

These nightly spectacles transform the Jewel Rain Vortex into a canvas of vibrant colors, bathed in a symphony of music and light.

To commemorate the fifth anniversary and evoke feelings of celebration, wonder, and anticipation, Jewel premieres a brand-new Light & Music showcase titled “What A Feelin5.”

This five-minute masterpiece is created by the world-renowned water feature designer WET and incorporates unique elements of Jewel’s offerings.

It highlights the iconic façade and lush greenery, culminating in an uplifting crescendo that celebrates the vibrancy of Jewel itself.

Unveiling the Jewel Rain Vortex

Later this year, visitors can look forward to a captivating new behind-the-scenes tour titled “In the Eye of the Jewel Rain Vortex.”

This exclusive experience offers a glimpse into the intricate workings of the world’s tallest indoor waterfall, granting participants unprecedented access to never-before-seen views of the Jewel Rain Vortex from within.

The tour will also delve into the dedicated efforts that go into preparing Canopy Park for operation each morning.
