Summer Travel Advice from DXB

For a hassle-free trip through DXB this summer, Dubai Airports recommends the following tips:

  • Emirates flyers: Take advantage of their convenient home check-in, early check-in, and self-check-in options, including city check-in locations.
  • flydubai passengers: Arrive at the airport at least four hours before departure.
  • Travelers with other airlines: Aim to reach DXB no earlier than three hours before your flight’s scheduled departure time. Utilize online check-in services whenever available to save time.
  • Be baggage-savvy: Familiarize yourself with your airline’s baggage allowance and packing regulations to avoid last-minute surprises. Check these details in advance.
  • Security screening breeze: Save time by being prepared. Place metal items like watches, jewelry, mobile phones, coins, and belts in your carry-on luggage. Additionally, follow the guidelines for liquids, aerosols, and gels.
  • Smart Gate shortcut: Families with children over 12 can expedite passport control by using the Smart Gates.
  • Travel informed: Stay updated on the latest travel regulations for your destination. Ensure you have all the necessary documents readily available.
  • Organized travel: Organize your travel documents beforehand and weigh your luggage at home. This will streamline your journey and avoid surprises at the airport. Don’t forget to pack spare batteries and power banks in your carry-on luggage.
  • Farewells at home: Only ticketed passengers are permitted inside the terminals during peak periods. Long goodbye conversations are best said at home.
  • Public transport advantage: Utilize the Dubai Metro for convenient and congestion-free travel to and from the airport. This includes travel between Terminals 1 and 3.
  • Limited access: Be aware that access to the arrivals’ forecourts in Terminals 1 and 3 is restricted to public transport and authorized airport vehicles only.

By following these tips and taking advantage of the many amenities offered by DXB, travelers can ensure a smooth and enjoyable start to their summer adventures.
