Swissport is excited to announce its growing role at London Heathrow Airport, welcoming Loganair and Vueling as new clients.

This expansion strengthens their commitment to exceptional service and further establishes them as the preferred service partner at Heathrow.

Loganair, the UK’s largest regional airline, joins Swissport at Terminal 2. This builds on their existing successful collaboration, ensuring a smooth experience for Loganair passengers.

Vueling, a leading European low-cost carrier, is a new arrival at Terminal 4. They’ll offer daily flights to Paris-Orly and Barcelona, expanding travel options for passengers.

“We’re proud to be trusted by these two key players in UK and European travel,” says Karen Cox, CEO for Swissport UK & Ireland. “This is a significant step towards becoming the service partner of choice at Heathrow.”

Loganair echoes this sentiment. “We’re excited to partner with Swissport at Heathrow,” says Caroline Tunney, Head of Airports. “We look forward to a long and successful relationship, delivering exceptional service for our customers.”

Beyond passenger and ramp handling, Swissport offers a comprehensive suite of services at Heathrow. This includes aircraft cleaning and air cargo handling for over 33 airlines.

Last year, their dedicated team of 740 professionals served over 1.3 million passengers and handled nearly 265,000 tons of air cargo, solidifying their position as a key player at London’s busiest airport.

Swissport Takes Flight in Tulum, Mexico

On the international stage, Swissport recently made history as the first and only ground services provider at the launch of international air traffic at Aeropuerto Internacional Felipe Carrillo Puerto in Tulum, Mexico.

The new airport will revolutionize high-end tourism on the Yucatan Peninsula. Swissport’s role began with servicing American Airlines flight AA1131, arriving from Dallas Fort Worth.

“We’re honored to be pioneers at Tulum,” says Marcela Gaboda, CEO of Swissport in Mexico. “This reinforces our position as the trusted partner for airlines and airports seeking reliable ground operations.”

With a team of 100 professionals, Swissport Tulum will handle passenger services and ramp operations for major carriers like American, COPA, Delta, United, Air Canada, and JetBlue. This initial service for over 60 weekly flights is expected to grow significantly as air traffic to Tulum increases.

“Swissport plays a vital role in launching international aviation at Tulum,” says René Pascua, CEO Latin America and Caribbean of Swissport International AG.

“Our expertise will contribute to the development of tourism in the Riviera Maya and the Mexican aviation sector as a whole.”
