As per Aviation24, it is understood that Qatar Airways has been offering double daily flights on the Doha-Amsterdam route since June 1.

Also, it is understood that the scheduling is as follows:

  • QR275: Doha to Amsterdam, departing at 15:15 and arriving at 21:00.
  • QR276: Amsterdam to Doha, departing at 22:30 and arriving at 05:45.
  • QR273: Doha to Amsterdam, departing at 08:10 and arriving at 13:55.
  • QR274: Amsterdam to Doha, departing at 16:15 and arriving at 23:30.

For the QR275/276 rotation, this is operated using their Airbus A350-900, with the 273/274 service utilised by the Boeing 777.

Furthermore, it is understood that this schedule will be extended all of the way to October 26 this year.

This means that around 250,000 passengers will travel on the flights during the extended Summer period.

It has been a busy few weeks for Qatar Airways, with the Doha-Amsterdam double daily flight upgrade an example of that.

Qatar Airways marked a new chapter on June 2nd, 2024, with the inaugural flight of its non-stop service to Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

This exciting addition strengthens Qatar Airways’ ambitious network expansion program. Passengers can now enjoy seamless connectivity to Tashkent via Hamad International Airport (DOH).

The airline also relaunched direct flights between its award-winning hub, Hamad International Airport (DOH), and Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS).

This move has been roundly welcomed, and it caters to the surge in travel demand to this popular Portuguese destination.

Furthermore, the airline also solidified their partnership in a new Memorandum of Understanding signed in Doha.

Finally, the carrier restarted flights between Doha and Venice in Italy, as Summer growth continues.

In conclusion, it is clear that the growth is very present for Qatar Airways, with the Doha-Amsterdam double daily upgrade in flights an example of that.

Looking ahead, it will be interesting to see how much more of an emerging market Schiphol will be for the airline.

If they can fill the aircraft on the second double daily flight, then there may be scope to grow further.

However, in the context of the Amsterdam Schiphol flight cap being a continuous issue, will the airline be able to curtail this?

But for now, let’s see how the flights operate over the extended Summer period.
