Allegiant Travel Company (NASDAQ: ALGT) has taken home a prestigious honor, being named the 2024 Best Low-Cost Airline in North America. Skytrax, a world-renowned air transport rating organization, accorded the recognition.

This week, London hosted the prestigious award ceremony, often dubbed the “Oscars of the aviation industry.” It recognizes airlines globally for their commitment to exceptional customer service.

Allegiant: ‘Surpassed Passenger Expectations’

“This award is a tremendous source of pride for Allegiant,” said Allegiant President Gregory C. Anderson. “It acknowledges our unwavering dedication to making air travel more accessible and convenient for our customers.”

Founded with the vision of transforming the industry, Allegiant has consistently surpassed passenger expectations.

Their unique approach separated them from the competition, offering a network of all-nonstop flights coupled with friendly service.

“Our team members are the true foundation of our success,” Anderson continued. “They ensure safety, reliability, and exceptional service onboard every flight.”

“As a leisure-focused airline, our business model bridges the gap between smaller cities and popular vacation destinations.”

“This recognition underscores the value we bring to the communities we serve and reaffirms our commitment to providing excellent service at competitive prices.”

Skytrax 2024 Awards

Skytrax determines the winners through the world’s largest airline passenger satisfaction survey. For the 2024 awards, the organization collected over 21.42 million eligible entries.

These offer valuable insights into passenger sentiment across the globe. Skytrax conducted research for these awards between September 2023 and May 2024.

“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Allegiant Air on winning this top honor for the first time,” said Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax.

“The low-cost airline market is fiercely competitive, and it’s clear that customers are impressed by the affordability and reliability offered by Allegiant. The entire Allegiant team deserves immense pride in this achievement.”

The World Airline Awards received survey participation from over 100 nationalities. Stringent measures were taken to ensure data integrity.

During a rigorous screening process, Skytrax actively removed duplicate, suspicious, or ineligible entries by verifying IP addresses and user information. The final results included more than 350 airlines.
