VietJet Increases Taiwan & Hong Kong Flights

For VietJet, there is growth out of their operations through the addition of more flights to Taiwan and Hong Kong.

The carrier has outlined their plans for growth in these specific markets, highlighting the explosive demand within Asia.

The Plans for More Flights with VietJet: Taiwan & Hong Kong


For VietJet, there is growth out of their operations in Hanoi & Ho Chi Minh City through the addition of more flights to Taiwan and Hong Kong.

As per LARA, VietJet will be increasing flights to Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Taiwan increases will be seen from Hanoi & Ho Chi Minh City on October 27 from once daily to twice daily with the airline.

As for Hong Kong, flights from Phu Quoc will be increased from three weekly to daily over the Winter season.

Such additions from HKG will see flights served by VietJet increased from 11 to 18 times per week.

Airline Progressing Well Financially…


For VietJet, there is growth out of their operations in Hanoi & Ho Chi Minh City through the addition of more flights to Taiwan and Hong Kong.

VietJet has been able to boost their flights into Taiwan and Hong Kong thanks to their strong growth, as recently reported.

In the first six months of 2024, the carrier recorded a profit of $47.38m, a 688% increase year-on-year.

Furthermore, revenues increased to $1.38bn, a 15% difference.

In their financials, they said the following on their operational statistics:

“The airline transported a total of 13.1 million passengers on more than 70,000 safe flights in H1/2024.”

“The number of international passengers reached 5.5 million while the number of international flights exceeded 28,300, increasing by 52% and 43% respectively YoY, making it the leading airline in terms of passenger volume.”

In conclusion, the additional flights to Taiwan and Hong Kong with VietJet represents good news off the back of their improved financials.

Looking ahead, all eyes will be on how the Winter season performs for the carrier.

If these additional flights perform well, then there could be scope to expand this further going into the future.

But for now, all eyes will be on October 27 for this.
