In the last few moments, a VietJet Airbus A321 bound for Vinh from Ho Chi Minh City has declared an emergency.

VietJet Flight VJ220 – Ho Chi Minh City-Vinh…
VietJet flight VJ220, which declared an emergency, is a routine scheduled flight between Ho Chi Minh City and Vinh.
The aircraft involved in this incident is registered as VN-A632.
As per data from Planespotters.net, VN-A632 is a 6.7 year old Airbus A321ceo that was delivered to the airline in October 2017.
Furthermore, of the A321ceo variant, VietJet has 36 of them in the fleet.
Of that 36, all but one are in active service, with an average fleet age of 7.2 years.
VietJet flight VJ220 departed Ho Chi Minh City at 2248 local time, and initially climbed north towards Vinh.
Over the Kon Tum area, the aircraft declared an emergency and descended into the diversion field of Da Nang International Airport.
At the time of writing (10/6/24 @ 1734 UK time), the aircraft is still in the air and is descending into Da Nang.
Cause Currently Unclear…
At this stage, it is unclear what the nature of the emergency is onboard VietJet flight VJ220 Ho Chi Minh City-Vinh.
