Vietjet Expands its Presence Across China and South Korea

Vietjet has moved to increase its presence in the Asia-Pacific region, with the addition of new services in South Korea and China.

Vietjet, the innovative Vietnamese airline, has been taking steps to increase its presence in the Asia-Pacific region.

With the launch of new routes and the expansion of existing networks, Vietjet is bolstering its profile in the region. The moves announced this month form a part of the airline’s broader international strategy.

A Decade of Success with South Korea

Celebrating 10 years of successful operations between Vietnam and South Korea, Vietjet has become the largest operator connecting these two nations.

The airline’s extensive network links major Vietnamese cities like Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Da Nang with South Korean hubs such as Seoul and Busan.

This month, Vietjet announced a new route between Nha Trang and Daegu. Starting October 27, 2024, this service will operate daily, further strengthening the ties between Vietnam and South Korea.

Over the past decade, Vietjet has transported an impressive 10 million passengers on 37 regular and charter services, significantly boosting economic and cultural exchanges.

New Routes to China

Vietjet’s growth in the region is not limited to South Korea. The airline has set its sights on the burgeoning China market, launching nonstop flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Xi’an on July 1.

As the sole airline offering this direct connection, Vietjet will operate four round trips per week. This new route follows the recent introduction of services to Shanghai and Chengdu.

It signals Vietjet’s continued interest in expanding its Chinese network.

Connecting Thailand

For passengers in Thailand, Vietjet Thailand offers flights from Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) and Phuket to various Vietnamese cities.

These routes serve as gateways to other destinations across Vietnam, China, Korea, Australia, and beyond.

As Vietjet continues to expand its network and enhance its services, it’s clear that the airline is committed to making air travel more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Whether you’re planning a beach getaway to Nha Trang or a cultural exploration of Xi’an, Vietjet is ready to take you there with style and affordability.

The Wider International Network

These new routes are part of Vietjet’s broader strategy to enhance its international presence. By offering convenient access to destinations across Vietnam, Southeast Asia, and the wider Asia-Pacific region, Vietjet is tapping into the surging demand for air travel in the area.

Recent data from the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) supports this expansion. In May alone, airlines in the region transported 27.9 million passengers. This represents a significant 23.9% year-on-year increase.

The Vietjet Experience

Passengers flying with Vietjet can expect more than just affordable fares. The airline offers a variety of Vietnamese and international cuisines, including popular dishes like Pho and Banh Mi.

Travelers can enjoy these delights while being served by a professional crew on modern, eco-friendly aircraft.

Additional perks include:

  • Complimentary SkyCare insurance for all passengers
  • SkyJoy loyalty program offering points for gift redemption
  • Opportunities to participate in lucky draws

With an innovative approach and expanding route network, Vietjet is making its presence known in the Asia-Pacific aviation market.
