An Uzbekistan Airways flight operating from Tashkent to Astana, Kazakhstan made a precautionary return to Tashkent after a cabin pressurisation problem on 19 June 2024.
Uzbekistan Airways flight HY721, an Airbus A320-200, had made its departure from Tashkent runway 08R.

During the initial claim after departure, flight crew encountered problems with the aircraft cabin pressurization system.
As a result, the climb procedure was terminated and a direct return to the origin airport was negotiated.
Furthermore, the flight subsequently landed without further incident less than 30 minutes after its initial departure.

Flight data shows that flight HY721 made an on-time departure out of Tashkent international airport (TAS) at 1359 local time.
The flight crew then terminated the climb procedure at 6000 feet shortly after departure. The aircraft was then manoeuvred for a direct return to the departure runway.
Moreover, the flight did not declare a formal emergency and the subsequent return was made under normal operating procedures.
