According to the online source Aviation Herald, ATC queried the extent of the technical issue with the UPS flight crew. The operating crew reported that other systems on board were intermittent, and they suspected a lightning strike as the cause.
Flight crew continued the descent and approach to Rockford. The aircraft landed without further incident on runway 19 Rockford Airport just under 30 minutes after the initial report.
