United Airlines has taken a bold step forward by investing in JetZero, a startup developing blended wing body (BWB) aircraft.
This innovative design promises up to 50% less fuel consumption per passenger mile compared to similar-sized planes, offering a more sustainable and cost-effective solution for airlines.
The investment includes an agreement to purchase up to 100 aircraft, with an option for 100 more. The agreement is conditional upon pending JetZero’s achievement of key milestones.
