As per the livestream on Airliners Live, it is understood the reason for the emergency landing on the TUI 787 operating BY138 Manchester-Montego Bay was due to a deflated tyre indication.

More specifically, it was the #5 tyre that has been affected.

This was relayed to ATC via the crew due to a sensor warning that alerted them in the cockpit.

At the time of publication, the aircraft is still on Runway 23L.

Moreover, the priority will be to get the aircraft off 23L either via a tug or by it’s own steam.

As soon as we have more information pertinent to this, then we will update you accordingly.

For now, this remains a developing story pending additional updates.
