A Transavia flight operating from Monastir to Paris Orly has declared an emergency whilst enroute and is currently on diversion.
Transavia flight TO8965, a Boeing 737-800 outbound from Monastir, Tunisia declared an emergency with transponder code 7700 and is currently diverting to Rome.

Having declared the emergency from the cruise, flight TO8965 is now making good a diversion direct to Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO). The nature of the emergency prompting the offtrack diversion is not yet known.

Having declared an emergency whilst passing the Italian west coast enroute to Paris, Transavia flight TO8965 has now landed at the diversion airport Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO). The flight maintained the priority transponder code 7700 for the diversion and subsequent approach.

Flight data shows that Transavia flight TO8965 made an on-time departure this morning. The aircraft departed Monastir Habib Bourguiba International Airport (MIR) at 1132 today. The flight had set course normally, climbing to flight level FL360 (36,000 feet) for the north westerly route to Paris.
The flight declared an emergency whilst in transit over the Tyrrhenian Sea off the west coast of Italy. Flight crew squawked transponder code 7700 at 1118 UTC, and initiated a descent and direct track to nearby Rome (FCO).
The aircraft conducting today’s TO8965 rotation from Tunisia was a Boeing 737-800, registered F-HUYX. This is a 9.9 year old narrowbody aircraft belong to the carrier Transavia. It has been in operational service with the airline since august 2023. Batik Air operated the aircraft prior to its service with the present carrier. It served with the Batik Air since its initial delivery from the factory in October 2014.
