Transavia Flight TO4215 Spilt-Paris Declares Emergency

Transavia flight TO4215, a B737-800 operating from Split to Paris, has declared an emergency enroute and is currently on diversion.

A Transavia flight operating from Split, Croatia to Paris has declared an emergency enroute and is currently on diversion.

Transavia flight TO4215, a Boeing 737-800 operating from Spilt Airport (SPU) declared an emergency with transponder code 7700 and is now diverting.

Flight TO4215 initiated the diversion whilst in cruising flight near Treviso, on flight plan track for Paris Orly Airport (ORY). The flight has now descended to FL260 and is initiating a westerly off-track diversion. The cause of the diversion is not yet known.

09:10 UTC: Westerly Diversion and Descent


Since declaring an emergency earlier this morning, flight TO4215 has continued a westerly diversion and is on descent from FL260. The diversion airport is still unclear.

09:20 UTC: Approach to Milan (MXP)


Transavia flight TO4215 is now on descent below 10,000 feet and appears to be preparing for an approach into Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP).

09:27 UTC: Landed Milan (MXP)

Having declared an emergency whilst enroute to Paris Orly Airport, flight TO4215 has now landed at the diversion airport Milan Malpensa International Airport (MXP).

The aircraft operating this mornings TO4215 service from Split was a Boeing 737-800, registered F-HVTK. This is a 16.5 year old narrowbody aircraft belonging to the carrier Transavia. It has been in operational service with the airline since September 2018. Prior to its present service, the aircraft was operated by Hainan Airlines and Hong Kong Express from its initial delivery from the factory in April 2008.
