A Transavia flight operating from Paris Orly to Rome has declared an emergency whilst en route.
Transavia flight TO3910, a Boeing 737-800, declared an emergency with squawk code 7700 and its diverting to Lyon.

Having declared a general emergency, flight TO3910 has expedited a descent and diversion into nearby Lyon. The nature of the emergency is not yet known.

Flight crew squawked transponder code 7700 at 09:31 UTC. At this stage the flight was on descent from cruising altitude and altering course for Lyon.

Transavia flight TO3910 has now landed at Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport (LYS), having expedited a diversion earlier this morning.
Flight data shows that Transavia flight TO3910 made a delayed departure out of Paris-Orly Airport (ORY) this morning.
The aircraft shows an actual departure time of 10:43 local time against a scheduled departure time of 09:30 local.
The flight departed normally and set course for Rome, climbing to flight level FL390 (39,000 feet).
The flight crew diverted the plane at 11:29 local time and began descending from FL390. Flight crew then squawked transponder code 7700, with the aircraft on descent through FL190.

The aircraft conducting today’s TO3910 service was a Boeing 737-800, registered F-GZHB. This is a 16.9-year old narrowbody aircraft belonging to the carrier Transavia France.
The plane started service with the airline in June 2007.
