The D328eco turboprop, Deutsche Aircraft’s latest innovation, has the potential to transform regional air travel in North America.

This cutting-edge aircraft builds on the successful D328® platform, promising to elevate performance and passenger comfort in today’s dynamic aviation industry.

North America, particularly the United States, has long been a pioneer in regional air travel. Continuing this tradition of innovation, Deutsche Aircraft fields the D328eco turboprop. The new aircraft represents a leap forward in sustainable and efficient air transport technology.

Addressing the Aging Regional Fleet

The D328eco offers a modern alternative to aging regional aircraft in the US market. It prioritizes efficiency, environmental responsibility, and advanced technology, making it an attractive option for operators looking to upgrade their fleets.

Among the key features of the D328eco is the Garmin® CompanionTM flight deck, which is ready for FAA NextGen implementation. This advanced system enhances situational awareness for pilots, both at the aerodrome and en route.

The improved overall reliability of the aircraft leads to reduced maintenance costs, benefiting operators in the long run. Passenger comfort is also a priority, with the D328eco featuring a jet-bridge compatible forward door and a cabin that rivals the experience offered by mainline carriers.

The aircraft’s design incorporates advanced composites and the latest Pratt & Whitney PW127XT-S engines. These cutting-edge engines offer significant benefits to operators. They boast a 40% longer time-on-wing, which means less frequent engine overhauls and more time in the air.

Additionally, these engines contribute to a 20% reduction in maintenance costs, further improving the aircraft’s economic efficiency. Perhaps most impressively, they achieve a 3% reduction in specific fuel consumption compared to previous-generation engines.

These improvements translate to substantial cost savings for operators, which can potentially lead to more affordable fares for passengers.

D328eco Performance

The D328eco boasts impressive performance metrics that position it as a strong contender in the regional aviation market. It achieves a maximum cruising speed of 324 knots, allowing for quick transit times between destinations.

With a service ceiling of 30,000 feet, the aircraft can fly above most weather disturbances, ensuring smoother and more comfortable journeys for passengers.

Moreover, the D328eco’s efficient engines actively reduce the carbon footprint of the aircraft, aligning with growing environmental concerns in the aviation industry. These features collectively position the D328eco as an ideal replacement for aging regional jets currently operating in the US.

Designed with the North American market in mind, the D328eco is tailored for the average regional flight distance of 500 nautical miles. This makes it a perfect fit for the hub-and-spoke model that is prevalent in the United States.

The aircraft’s capabilities extend even further, with a maximum range of 655 nautical miles at full capacity. This impressive range allows the D328eco to cover over 98% of all turboprop flights globally and 95% of all regional jet flights worldwide. Moreover, the D328eco can fly faster than any other turboprop currently in production, giving it a competitive edge in markets where speed is crucial.

High Altitude Runway Operations

One of the D328eco’s standout features is its ability to operate on high-altitude runways. This capability is particularly valuable for connecting remote communities that may have limited airport infrastructure.

By enabling air service to these areas, the D328eco can play a significant role in boosting local economies and promoting tourism in previously underserved regions.

Summary

Deutsche Aircraft’s 40-seat D328eco turboprop represents a bold step towards potentially reshaping North American air travel. With a focus on sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and enhanced connectivity, the D328eco is poised to shake up the regional aviation landscape.

It offers operators a reliable and future-proof investment in the advancement of air travel, addressing current needs while anticipating future demands. As the aviation industry continues to evolve, the D328eco looks to make its presence known in the regional air travel market.
