The Air India Airbus A350 Will Be at the Farnborough Air Show

The Farnborough Air Show has released the first list of aircraft that will be on show, with the Air India Airbus A350 being on that list.

It appears that the Airbus side of the equation for displays has been revealed, with the others being the A321XLR, the A330-900neo and the A220-300.

Without further ado, let’s get into it…

The Air India Airbus A350 will no doubt be the star attraction of the show at the Farnborough Air Show.

At the last edition of the airshow, Airbus sent in the ITA Airways -900 for the display.

With the Indian carrier recently receiving the first units of the type in the last six months, it is understandable why it will be on display.

At this stage, it is unclear which particular A350 it will be, and whether it has been in commercial service already or whether it’s due for delivery.

Furthermore, the aircraft will no doubt showcase the exterior as well as the interior cabin, which has:

  • 28 seats in Business
  • 24 in Premium Economy
  • 264 in Economy

As per Planespotters.net, Air India has six Airbus A350-900 aircraft with the first delivered in December 2023.

As well as the Air India A350, Airbus will also be showcasing the following other commercial aircraft at the Farnborough Air Show:

  • Undisclosed A220-300 – Unclear whether this will be an airline’s or just the standard Airbus testbed.
  • The A321XLR demonstrator which made an appearance at the Paris Air Show last year.
  • Undisclosed A330-900neo – Same situation as the A220-300.

The European planemaker has clearly got the good spread of aircraft out and ready for the next air show.

It will be interesting to see which A220-300 & A330-900neo aircraft it will actually be.

It remains clear that Air India will seek to impress at the Farnborough Air Show with it’s Airbus A350.

All eyes will be on the airshow overall in terms of the other displays that will no doubt be announced in due time.

Furthermore, there is also the sales aspect to this as well. Who is going to win?: Boeing, Airbus, Embraer or ATR?
