TAP Air Portugal is set to recommence flights to Porto Alegre, the capital of Rio Grande do Sul state in Brazil. The service is now scheduled to restart on April 1, 2025.
The airline will operate three weekly flights using its modern A330-900neo aircraft, which can accommodate 298 passengers.

The airline will schedule flights between Lisbon and Porto Alegre on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Departing Lisbon at 13:05, the flight arrives in Porto Alegre at 20:25 local time.
It will operate with a total flight time of 11 hours and 20 minutes. This route represents one of the longest in TAP’s network of destinations.
Return flights will depart Porto Alegre at 21:55, landing at Humberto Delgado airport at 12:45. Ticket prices start at £540, inclusive of all taxes and charges.

Authorities temporarily closed Salgado Filho International Airport in Porto Alegre on May 3rd following significant flooding caused by heavy rainfall in the Rio Grande do Sul state. The natural disaster severely impacted the airport’s infrastructure, necessitating extensive recovery efforts.
