In the last few moments, a TAP Air Portugal flight from Lisbon has declared an emergency during it’s approach into Sao Pedro, Cape Verde.
Furthermore, it is CS-TVO that is involved in the incident.

UPDATE #1 @ 1333 UK time – TAP Air Portugal flight TP1557 declared an emergency during it’s descent.
UPDATE #2 @ 1338 UK time – TP1557 looks to be coming into Boa Vista as a diversion and precautionary measure following the emergency.
EMERGENCY UPDATE #3 @ 1339 UK time – Correction, it has now turned to Espargos.
UPDATE #4 @ 1339 UK time – TAP Air Portugal flight TP1557 is now on final for an emergency landing into Espargos.
UPDATE #5 @ 1344 UK time – TOUCHDOWN! The aircraft has appeared to have landed safely.
A bit of information regarding CS-TVO.
As per data from Planespotters, CS-TVO is a 0.2 year old Airbus A320neo that was delivered to the airline in November 2024.
Of the A320neo variant, the airline has 15 of them in their fleet.
Within that 15, all but one are in active service.
As soon as we have more information pertinent to the cause, then we will update you accordingly.
