A SunExpress flight enroute to Hamburg from Antalya has declared an emergency, squawking transponder code 7700.
SunExpress flight XQ170, operated by a Boeing 737-800, is now diverting to Bucharest (OTP).
Having declared the emergency from cruising flight, SunExpress flight XQ170 has expedited a diversion to nearby Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport (OTP).

Having declared an emergency earlier this morning, flight XQ170 has now landed at Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport (OTP). The nature of the emergency prompting the diversion is not yet known.

Flight data shows that flight XQ170 made an on-time departure out of Antalya International Airport (TRT) this morning at 10:44 local time.
The flight had then set course normally for Hamburg Airport (HAM); climbing to flight Level FL360.
Flight crew then squawked transponder code 7700 at 0925 UTC as the aircraft passed abeam Bucharest. A descent and direct track to Bucharest was then carried out.
The aircraft conducting this morning’s XQ170 rotation to Hamburg was a Boeing 737-800, registered TC-SEN. This is a 9.4 year old narrow body aircraft belonging to the carrier SunExpress. It has been in operational service with the airline since its initial delivery in July 2015.
