Finnair is gearing up for the upcoming winter season with a significant expansion of its Asian routes. The Finnish flag carrier is increasing its frequency to popular destinations, offering travelers more options for their winter getaways.
One of the most notable additions is the daily service between Helsinki and Phuket. This route, which previously operated four times per week, will now provide travelers with even more flexibility and convenience.
Phuket: Sought-After Winter Sun Destination
Phuket, renowned for its stunning beaches and vibrant culture, has become a highly sought-after winter sun destination.
The increased frequency to Phuket complements Finnair’s existing double daily service to Bangkok. This gives travelers seamless connections to both cities, allowing them to explore more of Thailand’s diverse offerings.
Flights between Helsinki and Phuket will resume on November 2, 2024, initially operating once per week. The frequency will gradually increase to five times per week in December and then to daily from January 2025.
Dubai: Daily Direct Flights
In addition to the Phuket expansion, Finnair is also introducing daily direct flights to Dubai. This will provide travelers with greater access to the Middle East and beyond. Dubai, known for its luxurious lifestyle, world-class attractions, and vibrant culture, has become a popular destination for both leisure and business travelers.
The new Dubai flights, operated by Finnair’s long-haul Airbus fleet, represent a significant increase from the three weekly frequencies offered last winter. This means that travelers can enjoy more flexibility and convenience when planning their trips.
For those seeking a winter escape, Finnair is offering competitive fares to Phuket and Dubai. Return flights from London to Phuket start at £776 in Economy Class, while return flights to Dubai begin at £493.
Finnair is the national flag carrier of Finland, headquartered at Helsinki Airport. Helsinki’s geographical position provides a convenient hub for connecting Europe to Asia.
This allows for shorter flight times. The carrier currently serves destinations in Europe, Asia, and North America.
Popular Destinations:
- Asia: Bangkok, Tokyo, Shanghai, Beijing, Seoul, and Singapore are just a few of the popular Asian destinations served by Finnair.
- Europe: Finnair offers flights to major European cities, including London, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, and Copenhagen.
- North America: The airline also serves several cities in North America, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Boston.
These latest route expansions further solidify Finnair’s position as a leading carrier for travel to Asia.
