STARLUX North American Expansion

This new route marks a significant step in STARLUX’s North American expansion strategy. Ontario joins the airline’s existing U.S. network, which includes Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO), and Seattle (SEA).

The Ontario-Taipei route will be serviced by the state-of-the-art Airbus A350, offering a total of 306 seats across four classes. First Class (4 seats), Business Class (26 seats), Premium Economy (36 seats), and Economy (240 seats).

“Ontario is our first North American destination this year, and it significantly broadens our market reach,” said STARLUX CEO Glenn Chai. “This new route strengthens our position as a premium carrier, enhancing connectivity between key U.S. cities, Taiwan, and the Asia Pacific region.”

“Serving both Ontario and LAX provides travelers with greater flexibility and convenience, while also supporting economic growth, fostering familial ties, and boosting tourism between North America and Asia.”

“This expansion aligns perfectly with our vision to become a leading global airline, setting new service standards and positioning STARLUX for continued growth in the international market.”

Ontario OIAA Welcomes Partnership

The Ontario International Airport Authority (OIAA) is equally enthusiastic about the new partnership. “We are incredibly grateful for STARLUX Airlines’ confidence in our airport, our employees, and our community,” said Alan D. Wapner, president of the OIAA Board of Commissioners.

“The Greater Ontario region is a premier destination, served by one of the fastest-growing and most popular airports in the United States. We look forward to welcoming STARLUX travelers to the convenience of ONT and showcasing all that our fantastic region has to offer.”

Proximity to Asian Neighborhoods

Ontario’s proximity to numerous thriving Asian neighborhoods makes it an ideal gateway for connecting to major cities across Asia. From Taipei, travelers can easily reach destinations in Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, and many others.

Beyond its Asian connections, Ontario’s location east of Los Angeles offers convenient access to Southern California’s top attractions.

Disneyland is a short 40-minute drive away, while Palm Springs and Coachella Valley are just an hour away. Big Bear Lake and the Temecula wine country are also within easy reach, approximately two hours by car.

For those heading to Las Vegas, driving from Ontario can save between 1.5 and 2 hours compared to departing from LAX, making it a particularly attractive option for travelers in the Greater Los Angeles area.

Conclusion

STARLUX is committed to providing exceptional service and expanding its network. The airline currently operates 10 weekly flights between LAX and Taipei, with daily flights from San Francisco to Taipei. Starting March 1st, Seattle will also see an increase to daily flights.

With the addition of two new Airbus A350s, the STARLUX fleet now comprises 26 aircraft. It operates an all-Airbus fleet of 13 A321neo, 5 A330neo, and 8 A350. The launch of the Ontario-Taipei route further solidifies STARLUX Airlines’ position as a rising player in the global aviation industry.
