Singapore Airlines has recorded a steady July 2024 from it’s operations out of Changi Airport.
The airline has released their full statistics for the Group, which also includes subsidiary Scoot.

Singapore Airlines’ key statistics for July 2024 from Singapore Changi Airport are as follows:
- The main airline:
- Passengers Handled: 2.1m passengers – Up 10.5% compared to July 2023.
- Load factor: 84.7% – Down 4.3% compared to July 2023.
- Scoot:
- Passengers handled: 1.08m passengers – No change compared to July 2023.
- Load factor: 88.9% – Down 3.8% compared to July 2023.
- Group Cargo:
- Cargo & Mail Handled: 93.5 tonnes – Up 20.5% compared to July 2023.
- Cargo load factor – 57.4% – Up 5.0% compared to July 2023.
Airline’s Overview Gives Insight into July’s Numbers…
Following the steady numbers, Singapore Airlines Group had the following to say on July 2024’s numbers from Changi Airport:
“In July 2024, the Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group’s passenger traffic grew by 3.6% from a year before, while passenger capacity increased by 8.7%. SIA and Scoot carried 3.2 million passengers in total during the month (+6.7% year-on-year).”
“The Group passenger load factor (PLF) came in at 85.6%, with SIA and Scoot posting monthly PLFs of 84.7% and 88.9% respectively.”
“SIA experienced lower load factors for East Asia route region notwithstanding robust growth in passenger traffic, due to the substantial capacity expansion in North Asia.”
“Cargo loads rose by 18.5% from the previous year, supported by robust e-commerce demand, some demand spillover resulting from disruptions to sea freight, and port congestion.”
“This outpaced the capacity expansion of 8.2%.”
“Consequently, cargo load factor came in at 57.4% (+5.0 percentage points year-on-year).”
“At the end of July 2024, the Group’s passenger network covered 125 destinations in 36 countries and territories.”
“SIA served 78 destinations, while Scoot served 69 destinations. The cargo network comprised 129 destinations in 37 countries and territories.”
Overall…
In conclusion, Singapore Airlines had a steady month in July 2024 from it’s operations out of Changi Airport.
Passenger numbers at the mainline carrier were strong, but Scoot numbers could be improved where possible.
Furthermore, cargo seems to be a strong aspect to the Group so far, with plenty more room to grow further in that regard too.
