This significant cabin upgrade establishes a distinct and easily recognizable premium travel option.

This strategic move strengthens SAS’s competitive edge within the European aviation market and significantly enhances the overall customer experience.
Introducing European Business Class
By introducing a dedicated Business Class product, SAS aims to attract a greater number of both regional and international premium travelers. It seeks to capitalise on market demand from the premium travel segment.

Furthermore, this launch aligns perfectly with SAS’s long-term strategic goals, reinforcing Copenhagen’s vital role as a key global hub for Scandinavian and European connectivity.
The new Business Class will also simplify connections and provide a more unified and consistent experience for passengers traveling across various Star Alliance member airlines.
Paul Verhagen, Chief Commercial Officer at SAS, emphasized the importance of this development. “Many of our passengers who prioritize comfort and quality have expressed the need for a clearly defined European Business Class that meets established international standards.”
“While our existing SAS Plus offered an improved experience, it lacked the clear recognition and understanding that discerning travelers seek. By reintroducing European Business Class, we are ensuring that SAS delivers the premium experience expected of a top-tier European airline.”
The new European Business Class will be available on all SAS international European flights, encompassing routes within Scandinavia, with ticket sales commencing on May 6th.
