In the last few moments, SAS flight SK588 bound for Copenhagen from Malaga has declared an emergency.
Furthermore, OY-JZT is the aircraft involved in the incident.

UPDATE #1 @ 2059 UK time – The aircraft is currently descending and is diverting to Brussels.
UPDATE #2 @ 2102 UK time – SK588 is currently passing through 9,000 feet on a rapid descent into Brussels.
EMERGENCY UPDATE #3 @ 2103 UK time – OY-JZT is the aircraft involved.
As per Planespotters, OY-JZT is a 11.9 year old Boeing 737-800 that started out life with Jet Airways in April 2013.
Furthermore, the aircraft was sent to SpiceJet in May 2019, before being returned to lessor BOC Aviation in May 2022.
Moreover, in October 2022, Jettime, the airline operating the flight for SAS, took the aircraft on.
Of the 737-800 variant, Jettime has 10 of them in their fleet.
Within the 10, all but one are in active service, with an average fleet age of 15.9 years.

UPDATE #4 @ 2105 UK time – Emergency SAS flight SK588 Malaga-Copenhagen is preparing for an emergency landing.

UPDATE #5 @ 2108 UK time – SK588 is now on final approach into Brussels.

SAS flight SK588 Malaga-Copenhagen, which declared the emergency, has appeared to have touched down safely into Brussels.
At this stage, the reason for the emergency is still unknown.
