This week, Ryanair launched its first Summer 2025 flight scheduling. The Summer 2025 schedule sees new services from Dublin to Rabat, Morocco and Shannon to Madeira.

The airline will run two flights per week on each of these new routes, giving Irish travelers and visitors more affordable options as part of its Summer 2025 schedule.

Summer 2025 Route Additions

Dublin-Rabat

Rabat becomes the latest of 122 destinations Ryanair will serve from Dublin Airport this summer, expanding choices for holidaymakers.

Jade Kirwan, Ryanair’s Communications Director, shared her excitement about the Dublin-Rabat launch. “We’re thrilled to kick off our Summer 2025 season with this flight on March 31st,” she said.

“It’s carrying eager holidaymakers and marks the start of a great summer ahead. With two weekly flights, this route gives our Irish customers more affordable ways to plan their summer escapes.”

Shannon-Madeira

Over the weekend, Ryanair also celebrated the debut of another new Summer 2025 route, connecting Shannon to Madeira. Like the Dublin-Rabat service, this route will operate twice weekly.

It’s part of Ryanair’s broader summer plan, offering low-cost travel options to Irish customers and reinforcing the airline’s commitment to regional airports.

Kirwan also highlighted the new Shannon-Madeira connection. “Most of our Summer 2025 schedule from Shannon will rely on our three based aircraft, representing a $300 million investment,” she explained.

“This supports over 1,500 local jobs and shows Ryanair’s dedication to growing Ireland’s regional airports.”

A Call to Support Growth

Kirwan also urged the Irish government to support this growth. “We ask the new government to help airlines like Ryanair by expanding the Regional Airports Programme for 2026-2030.”

Raising the passenger cap to at least 3 million annually would let regional airports boost traffic without penalties,” Kirwan added.

On Tuesday 2 April, the High Court of Ireland ruled to extend the suspension of the controversial Dublin Airport passenger cap. This suspension of the cap will continue until a ruling is made on an ongoing legal challenge by airlines.

Conclusion

These new routes reflect Ryanair’s focus on affordable travel and regional development. With 122 routes from Dublin and a strong presence in Shannon, the airline continues to connect Ireland.

Summer 2025 sees the new destinations of Rabat and Madeira added to the travel options.

As summer approaches, travelers can look forward to more options at budget-friendly prices, backed by Ryanair’s ongoing investment in Irish aviation.
