A Ryanair flight operating from Palermo to Hahn has declared an emergency, squawking code 7700 whilst en route.
Ryanair flight FR6350, a Boeing 737-800 from Palermo (PMO), declared the emergency whilst approaching Italy. The flight is now initiating a diversion for a possible approach to Rome.

Having declared an emergency on approach to the Italian coast, flight FR6350 has expedited a descent and approach into nearby Rome Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport (FCO).
The nature of the emergency prompting the flight crew to expedite the diversion is not yet known.

Flight data for this morning’s FR6350 rotation shows the flight made a slightly delayed departure from Palermo Airport (PMO). The flight departed at 10:43 local time, against a scheduled departure time of 10:10 local.
The aircraft then set course normally and climbed to flight level FL340 (34,000 feet) on the northerly route for Hahn.
Flight crew initiated a descent and course alteration before squawking transponder code 7700 at 09:23 UTC. By this time the aircraft was on descent through FL230, and on diversion for Rome FCO.
The aircraft conducting this morning’s FR6350 service to Hahn was a Boeing 737-800, registered 9H-QCL. This is an 8.1-year old narrowbody aircraft belonging to the carrier Ryanair.
