Nearing London…
RJ263 is nearing London as the aircraft continues to descend through FL100. Also, such a track now is making it increasingly likely if not definite that Heathrow will be the airport for the emergency landing.
LHR Confirmed…
London Heathrow has been formally confirmed as the diversion field. Emergency landing expected in the next few minutes.
On Final Approach…
Royal Jordanian flight RJ263 is now on final approach for the 27s at London Heathrow. Emergency landing expected imminently.
Furthermore, as per Airframes.IO, the emergency seems to have been caused by a Left AHRU sensor fault.
The AHRU is the Altitude & Heading Reference Units on the 787, which is connected to the ADIRS for navigation and positioning.
