Qatar Airways Unveils its ‘Qsuite Next Gen’

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer has revealed the new Qsuite Next Gen alongside Sama, the First AI Digital Human cabin crew.

In a reveal at the Farnborough International Airshow 2024, Qatar Airways Group has once again positioned itself at the forefront of aviation innovation.

The airline’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, unveiled the highly anticipated ‘Qsuite Next Gen’, setting a new benchmark for luxury air travel.

The grand unveiling took place on the opening morning of the airshow, attended by distinguished guests.

This included His Excellency Jassim bin Saif bin Ahmed Al Sulaiti, Qatari Minister of Transport, and Mr. Mohammed Falah Al Hajri, Acting President of Qatar Civil Aviation Authority.

Qsuite Next Gen Cabin Experience

The star of the show, the Qsuite Next Gen, is an evolution of Qatar Airways’ already award-winning business class product.

This latest iteration pushes the boundaries of in-flight comfort and technology, featuring a host of enhancements designed to cater to the modern traveler’s needs.

Among the most striking innovations is the introduction of Sama, the world’s first AI Digital Human cabin crew.

This cutting edge virtual assistant engaged with the audience, showcasing the airline’s commitment to blending traditional hospitality with futuristic technology.

Engr. Al-Meer point out several key features of the Qsuite Next Gen:

  • Fully customizable Quad Suites, offering unprecedented flexibility for group travelers
  • Companion Suites now available in window aisles, enhancing the travel experience for couples
  • State-of-the-art 4K OLED moveable in-flight entertainment screens, a world first in commercial aviation
  • Increased space and privacy in each suite, ensuring a more comfortable journey

“The Qsuite Next Gen represents our vision for the future of air travel,” stated Al-Meer. “We’ve listened to our passengers and incorporated their desires into a product that truly redefines luxury in the skies.”

Leading In-Flight Technology

The redesigned Qsuite Next Gen is definitely a leading innovation. The movable 4K OLED Panasonic Astrova screens allow for unnique customization of the cabin space.

Passengers can now create the largest social and productivity area in the sky, accommodating up to four people in the Quad Suite and two in the Companion Suite.

Privacy has been enhanced with taller, digitally controlled dividers, while the dining experience has been elevated with increased space for shared meals. This feature is a nod to Qatar’s rich cultural heritage.

The suites also feature larger lie-flat and double beds, complemented by Qatar Airways’ renowned 5-star turn-down service and a dedicated ‘Make My Bed’ feature.

The Qsuite Next Gen comes equipped with upgraded touchscreen Passenger Control Units. These allow travelers to personalize their environment, from ambient lighting to privacy settings, ensuring a tailored experience for each passenger.

Showcasing a Future Fleet

While the Qsuite Next Gen took center stage, Qatar Airways also proudly displayed other gems from its fleet.

The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, which entered service in 2021, showcased the Adient Ascent Business Class Suite. This suite features sliding privacy doors, wireless mobile device charging, and spacious 79-inch lie-flat beds.

Qatar Executive, the airline’s private jet charter division, presented the all-new Gulfstream G700. This ultra-long-range aircraft boasts four individual living areas, including a private rear stateroom with a permanent fixed bed.

The expansion of Qatar Executive’s fleet with four additional G700 aircraft, and plans for six more in the coming 18 months, signals the airline’s strong position in the luxury private jet market.

A Glimpse into the Future

The Qsuite Next Gen is set to debut on Qatar Airways’ Boeing B777-9 aircraft by 2025, promising to revolutionize long-haul travel. It is clear that the airline had once again raised the bar for the aviation industry.

With its focus on innovation, luxury, and passenger focused design, Qatar Airways continues to solidify its position as a leader in global aviation.

The Farnborough International Airshow 2024 served as the perfect stage for the airline to present its vision for the future of air travel. It leaves both industry experts and enthusiasts eagerly anticipating what’s next from the World’s Best Airline.
