Qanot Sharq Acquires Five New Airbus A321neo LR/XLR Aircraft

Uzbekistan private airline Qanot Sharq has acquired three Airbus A321neo XLR and two A321neo LR aircraft to be delivered in 2026 and 2027.

Uzbekistan’s pioneering private airline, Qanot Sharq, is set to see the addition of five state-of-the-art Airbus A321neo aircraft.

A lease agreement with Air Lease Corporation (NYSE: AL) will see the airline receive three A321-200neo XLRs and two A321-200neo LRs. This further bolsters its fleet and expands its international reach.

Deliveries are scheduled for 2026 and 2027, sourced from Air Lease Corporation’s existing order book with Airbus.

Growth in the Uzbek Aviation Market


This significant investment underscores Qanot Sharq’s commitment to growth and innovation within the Uzbek aviation market.

The acquisition of these advanced aircraft marks a crucial step in the airline’s long-term vision to broaden its destination network.

Nosir Abdugafarov, Owner of Qanot Sharq Airlines gave his comments on the new acquisition and its relevance to operations. “We are excited to expand our partnership with Air Lease and take a significant step forward in expanding our fleet with these new Airbus A321neo LR and XLR aircraft,”

Airbus A321neo XLR


The Airbus A321neo family, known for its exceptional performance, range, and fuel efficiency, is a strategic choice for Qanot Sharq.

The XLR variant, in particular, offers extended range capabilities, opening up exciting new possibilities for the airline’s route network.
