Porter Airlines has launched direct daily flights between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Palm Beach International Airport (PBI). This marks Palm Beach as the airlines sixth Florida destination.

The new route further raises Porter’s presence in the Sunshine State and offers travelers a premium travel experience between Canada and South Florida. The new service delivers Porter’s signature elevated economy experience aboard the state-of-the-art Embraer E195-E2 aircraft.

Embraer E195-E2 Services

With its thoughtful 2-by-2 seating configuration, the 132-seat plane ensures every passenger enjoys a window or aisle seat, eliminating the discomfort of middle seats entirely. This passenger-friendly design reflects Porter’s commitment to comfortable air travel.

Setting itself apart in North American aviation, Porter delivers exceptional service in economy class that rivals many airlines’ business offerings.

All passengers enjoy complimentary premium snacks, and reliable high-speed WiFi for staying connected. A sophisticated beverage service features beer and wine served in proper glassware – amenities typically reserved for premium cabins on other carriers.

For travelers seeking an enhanced experience, the PorterReserve fare category raises the bar further. This all-inclusive economy package features fresh, nutritious meals, craft cocktails, dedicated priority check-in counters, generous booking flexibility, early boarding privileges, and expanded legroom for maximum comfort throughout the journey.

Popularity of Florida Routes

The strategic timing of the new route allows seamless connections with flights to major Eastern Canadian cities, including Ottawa and Montreal. Palm Beach joins Porter’s rapidly expanding Florida network. This now encompasses Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Miami, Orlando, and Tampa, offering Canadians comprehensive access to Florida’s most desirable destinations.

“Our Florida routes have become incredibly popular among our passengers,” said Kevin Jackson, Porter Airlines president. “Travelers appreciate having more winter escape options, and our premium service means their vacation starts the moment they step onboard.”

“Adding the Palm Beaches strengthens our destination portfolio and provides access to one of Florida’s most sophisticated regions.”

Laura Beebe, Palm Beach County’s director of airports, was also pleased about the new service. “This Toronto route connects us with one of North America’s most dynamic cities”

“It expands our international reach and improves access to South Florida. We’re excited to partner with Porter Airlines in growing our global connections.”

Porter Airlines continues it's expansion of flights this week with the announcement of a new route between Toronto & Thunder Bay.

Tourism Impact for Florida

Sylvia Cesaratto, Canadian Consul General to Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, highlighted the route’s significance in bilateral relations. “Nearly 4 million Canadians visit Florida yearly, demonstrating our nations’ close friendship.”

“Porter’s new services, including today’s Toronto-West Palm Beach launch, help citizens explore both countries while strengthening our economic ties.”

Milton Segarra, president and CEO of Discover The Palm Beaches, emphasized the route’s tourism impact. “This direct Canadian connection makes it easier for visitors to explore our 39 distinct communities. As our biggest international market, improved Canadian access will boost tourism.”

“Working with our airline partners, we’ll ensure both new and returning visitors experience the unique charm of The Palm Beaches – Florida’s most elegant vacation spot.”
