LONDON – Ukraine crisis: The US president Joe Biden has paid a surprise visit to Kyiv this morning. It is officially his first visit to Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion in February 2022.
Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has acknowledged the visit via his social media channel, saying: “Joseph Biden, welcome to Kyiv! Your visit is an extremely important sign of support for all Ukrainians.”
Footage has now emerged on social media depicting President Biden and Pres Zelenskyy walking together in Kyiv earlier this morning.
AWACS Boeing E3-B Sentry aircraft together with a Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker are presently maintaining station in the region as the meeting continues.
