PLAY Expands Croatia With Pula & Split Flights

PLAY has this week announced plans to expand it's presence into Croatia with new flights to Pula and a boost in frequencies to Split.

PLAY has this week announced plans to expand it’s presence into Croatia with new flights to Pula and a boost in frequencies to Split.

The airline has laid out their roadmap for the country, which will be in effect for the Summer 2025 program.

PLAY has this week announced plans to expand it's presence into Croatia with new flights to Pula and a boost in frequencies to Split.

PLAY has this week outlined their plans for growth in Croatia with new flights to Pula (PUY) and a boost to Split (SPU).

The new flights to PUY will begin on May 31, 2025, and continue until August 16 on a once-weekly basis, running Saturdays.

Furthermore, flights to SPU will increase from once-weekly to twice-weekly during the Summer season.

Flights into this region are proving popular with those living in Iceland and also overseas as well with the airline.

Commenting on the new flights to Pula and the boost to Split was PLAY CEO, Einar Örn Ólafsson, who said the following on the market in Croatia:

“We are excited to add Pula to our growing list of destinations.”

“Croatia has been a popular choice for our passengers, and expanding our presence there reflects the strong demand.”

“We are committed to providing affordable, reliable travel options, and this new route strengthens our network even further”.

In conclusion, it is clear that PLAY has found a strong market for them to thrive in, with this being Pula & Split flights to boost their Croatia presence.

Furthermore, it will be interesting to see how the additional flights will perform for the carrier.

If the trend continues in the Summer 2025 window, then there could be scope to expand once again in the future.

But for now, all eyes will be on how the flights perform next year.
