Plane Stair Vehicle Catches Fire at London Heathrow

Video has surfaced showing a plane stair vehicle connected to a British Airways aircraft on fire and being put out by fire crews at London Heathrow.

What We Know So Far About The Fire at London Heathrow…

The above video footage shows the plane stairs vehicle on fire at London Heathrow Airport.

It is understood it was connected to G-EUYO.

As per data from Planespotters.net, G-EUYO is a 11.1 year old Airbus A320 that was delivered to British Airways in June 2013.

Data from RadarBox shows that G-EUYO’s last flight was British Airways flight BAW66GA from Athens to London Heathrow.

This means that this particular incident has happened within the last three hours or so.

Also, it has been reported that this was happening as the aircraft was preparing for departure.

All passengers have been evacuated and everyone is safe.

It is understood that this aircraft has now been grounded following the incident, and is expected to fly again on June 26.

It is expected to fly to Athens again and then back to London Heathrow before continuing on to Paris.

At this stage, it is unclear what started the fire involving the plane stair vehicle at London Heathrow Airport.

Information is still limited regarding the incident at hand, with such information only accessible via video seen by AviationSource.

British Airways Releases Statement…

British Airways said the following on the incident:

‘Emergency services quickly extinguished a small fire of a third party ground vehicle. No customers were impacted and there were no injuries.’
