The prestigious “Living Legends of Aviation Europe Awards,” often called the “Oscars of Aviation,” celebrated its fourth annual ceremony last week, attended by members of the Pilatus Aircraft management team..
The event was held at the stunning Scalaria Event Resort on Lake Wolfgang, Austria. This event recognizes companies and individuals who have significantly impacted aviation and aerospace.
With members of the Pilatus Team management, Markus Bucher, CEO of Pilatus, accepted an award for notable achievement in aviation. The Swiss manufacturer took out the “Sam B. Williams Technology Award”.

At this year’s annual gathering, Markus Bucher and the Pilatus Team received the esteemed “Sam B. Williams Technology Award” for their continued dedication to crafting exceptional, world-class aircraft.
Gregg G. Williams, the owner, Chairman, President, and CEO of Williams International, a leading gas turbine engine developer and manufacturer, presented the award. The ceremony featured a video showcasing Pilatus’ achievements, narrated by renowned Hollywood actor and aviation enthusiast Morgan Freeman.
Pilatus CEO Markus Bucher expressed his gratitude on behalf of the Swiss manufacturer. “On behalf of the entire Pilatus Team, I extend my heartfelt thanks to the organizers, especially Gregg Williams, for their trust and this extraordinary honor.”
