A passenger aboard a flight from Paris to Boston has tragically died whilst the aircraft was enroute on Tuesday, 15 January 2025.
The passenger has been identified by local news sources as a 53 year old Kansas woman. She was aboard Air France flight AF334 from Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport to Boston.
Upon landing at Boston Logan International Airport, emergency medical personnel were immediately dispatched to the aircraft. The Massachusetts State Police are currently investigating the incident, treating it as an “unattended death.”

According to early reports from Massachusetts police, the death occurred after a medical episode whilst the flight was in transit.
Investigators are now awaiting the finding of the official cause of death from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The unexpected medical emergency occurred shortly after the aircraft departed from Charles de Gaulle Airport. According to an airline spokesperson, a doctor who was aboard the flight administered first aid to the ill passenger.
A spokesperson for the airline released a statement to NBC Boston confirming the tragic inflight incident. Air France expressed its deepest sympathies to the family and loved ones of the deceased passenger.
The airline emphasized that the safety and well-being of its passengers are of paramount importance. It assured that its crew members undergo rigorous training to address medical emergencies in flight.

Flight data shows that Air France flight AF334 had made an on-time departure from Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport. the flight departed the Paris airport at 1506 local time on 14 January.
The flight had then proceeded normally, climbing to FL400 for the longhaul service to Boston. Air France reported that the passenger became ill during the flight.
The aircraft conducting the AF334 service was an Airbus A350-900, registered F-HUBV.
