Information has emerged of a PAL Airlines flight which suffered an incident involving it’s left hand landing gear at Halifax Airport in Canada.
Furthermore, information is limited surrounding the incident, but below is what we know on this so far.
PAL Airlines Flight AC2259 – St. John’s to Halifax…
This PAL Airlines aircraft was operating Air Canada flight AC2259 between St. John’s and Halifax.
It is understood that this was the flight which suffered the incident.
Furthermore, the aircraft involved was C-GPNA.
As per data from Planespotters.net, C-GPNA is a 24.0 year old Bombardier Dash 8 that started out life with Horizon Air in January 2001.
In January 2011, it operated for Alaska Airlines before being returned to lessor in May 2023.
Moreover, by September and October of that year, the aircraft was sent from Longview Aviation Leasing to PAL Airlines.
PAL Airlines flight AC2259 departed St. John’s at 1945 local time on December 28th bound for Halifax.
Also, everything was normal in the flight until the arrival into it’s destination.
During the landing into the airport, the PAL Airlines aircraft suffered a left hand gear collapse on landing into Halifax Airport.
Furthermore, it is understood that there are no known injuries at this point.
