Oman Air has further expanded its fleet with the arrival of a new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. This marks the tenth Dreamliner in the airline’s fleet, as part of an ongoing order that includes a total of 11 additional aircraft scheduled for delivery by 2027.
Upon touching down in Muscat on Friday afternoon, the new Dreamliner was warmly welcomed by Oman Air officials.
Con Korfiatis, Chief Executive Officer Oman Air, expressed his enthusiasm for the addition, stating, “We are delighted to welcome our new Boeing 787-9 to our fleet.”
“This aircraft aligns perfectly with our strategy of operating a modern and standardized fleet, allowing us to optimize our operations, maintenance costs, and overall guest experience.”
Korfiatis also emphasized the importance of this acquisition in supporting Oman Air’s broader goals of financial sustainability and growth. By investing in state-of-the-art aircraft, the airline aims to strengthen its position as a world-class carrier and contribute to Oman’s tourism and connectivity initiatives.

The newly delivered B787-9 features a two-class configuration, offering 30 Business Class seats and 258 Economy Class seats. It will be deployed across Oman Air’s extensive network of destinations.
