Norwegian Releases Spring 2025 Flights Early

This week saw Norwegian release their flights for Spring 2025 early, as the airline continues to receive strong demand.

Across their network in Norway, Denmark, Sweden & Finland, they are launching a lot of flights for that short period.

Without further ado, let’s get into it…

The Spring 2025 program for flights with Norwegian is between March 30 to June 1, 2025.

Approximately 5.3m seats will be on offer, with some of the following Winter destinations being extended into the Spring by the airline:

  • Agadir
  • Dubai
  • Hurghada
  • Cairo
  • Marrakech

It is understood the network layout by country base is as follows also:

  • Norway: 111 routes to 78 destinations
  • Denmark: 58 routes to 56 destinations
  • Sweden: 52 routes to 47 destinations
  • Finland: 24 routes to 24 destinations

Norwegian confirmed that flights for the Summer 2025 program will be released at a later date.

Furthermore, it could be suggested that they may release it soon to give customers further flexibility.

Such news comes following the airline showing a positive trajectory in the first quarter, despite industry challenges.

While an operating loss (EBIT) of NOK 763 million was reported, this represents a significant improvement from the NOK 916 million loss incurred in the same period of 2023.

This positive trend comes amidst a weaker Norwegian krone impacting currency revaluation effects.

On top of that, the airline also announced that six new routes will launch from Stockholm and Göteborg in Winter 2024/25.

  • Stockholm Arlanda (ARN):
    • Hurghada, Egypt (HRG) – Starting October 31st, 2024 (once weekly)
    • Agadir, Morocco (AGA) – Starting November 1st, 2024 (once weekly)
    • Dubai, United Arab Emirates (DWC) – Starting December 13th, 2024 (twice weekly)
  • Göteborg Landvetter (GOT):
    • Tenerife, Spain (TFS) – Starting October 29th, 2024 (once weekly)
    • Hurghada, Egypt (HRG) – Starting October 31st, 2024 (once weekly)
    • Marrakech, Morocco (RAK) – Starting November 2nd, 2024 (once weekly)

This expansion reflects the strong demand for international travel, and Norwegian’s commitment to connecting Sweden to the world.

Commenting on the launch of Spring 2025 flights was Magnus Thome Maursund, commercial director at Norwegian:

“Many of our customers both like and want to plan trips well in advance, and it is great that we can now offer over five million seats for the coming spring.”

“The least expensive tickets are usually sold first, so the earlier you book the better the offer you can get.”

“This perhaps particularly applies to Easter,”

It remains clear in this case that Norwegian is trying to get seats sold as far ahead as they can in advance.

In conclusion, the launch of Spring 2025 flights early shows testament to the growth of Norwegian.

Looking ahead, all eyes will be on what the Summer 2025 season will look like in terms of timetabling and growth.

With the airline already reducing losses, they are wanting to push things in the right direction to move closer to profitability.

But for now, all eyes ahead on the rest of the Summer 2024 season to see what their operational performance will look like.
