Norse Atlantic Airways has expanded its transatlantic network with a new non-stop route linking Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Athens International Airport (ATH).
The new service reinforces the airline’s commitment to the North American air travel market, and further boosts its current Los Angeles connections.
Route Inauguration in June
Set to launch on 3 June 2025, the new route will operate four times weekly using a Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
Travelers can secure tickets starting at an attractive $269 or 259 EUR, with fare options available across economy and premium cabin classes. This makes international travel more accessible to a broader range of passengers.

Current LAX Services
This strategic expansion builds upon Norse Atlantic’s existing budget routes from Los Angeles, which currently include destinations like London, Paris, and Rome.
The addition of Athens represents another significant step in the airline’s mission to offer diverse and affordable international travel experiences.
CEO and founder Bjørn Tore Larsen highlighted the affordability of the new route. “We’re thrilled to connect Los Angeles and Athens. It offers travelers an affordable gateway to explore two remarkable cities with rich historical and cultural landscapes. Our goal remains making international travel accessible and enjoyable for everyone.”

Norse Atlantic to Date
Founded in March 2021, Norse Atlantic has rapidly established itself as a competitive budget airline. The company operates a modern fleet of fuel-efficient Boeing 787 Dreamliners, featuring both Economy and Premium cabin options.
Each seat is equipped with an integrated personal in-flight entertainment system, ensuring passengers remain comfortable and engaged during their journey.
The Premium cabin particularly stands out, offering best-in-class legroom and specially designed reclining seats.
The seating arrangement allows passengers to relax and arrive at their destination feeling refreshed. This attention to passenger comfort sets Norse Atlantic apart in the budget airline market.
With an expanding network that now spans North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia, Norse Atlantic continues to connect travelers to iconic destinations. These include New York, Las Vegas, Miami, Orlando, Bangkok, Cape Town, Oslo, Stockholm, Berlin, and now Athens.
The new Los Angeles to Athens route exemplifies the airline’s ongoing strategy of providing affordable, direct long-haul flights that make international travel more accessible and convenient for budget-conscious travelers.
